I made Chicken Curry in a Hurry from the 500 15-Minute Low Sodium Recipes by Dick Logue. There were 10 ingredients. Cooking time: approx. 30 minutes. The recipe took 10 minutes to cook with an additional 10 minutes for the shredded/sliced chicken and the added rice cooking time. While the recipe was fast, it was not very flavourful. The mild sauce described as ‘creamy’ was chunky from the yogurt and milk, not sure if that outcome was a result of me or the recipe.
If only I had decided to make mug cakes instead! I recall someone talked about these at our last cookbook club. I am looking forward to buying a copy of 15 Minute Meals, Jamie Oliver’s latest cookbook. I made one recipe, Rosemary chicken grilled polenta & porcini tomato sauce, from this cookbook which took 1.5 hours. Hmm 15 minutes cooking IF all the prep is somehow done and the stars align…
I am seeing a trend, ‘quick’ recipe books aren’t fast but the 3-4 ingredient recipe books may be! Anyone had any luck with this other type of cookbook?
