Weekend Cravings

This weekend, head out for breakfast (open after 10 am) or brunch to Journey Café and Creperie  at 62 Commerce Park Drive beside the south-end Galaxy Cinema. They are Barrie’s first creperie. Crepes are made from scratch using all fresh ingredients. They serve sweet and savory crepes, all under $10. I haven’t tried it yet, but plan to this summer.

What is your favourite breakfast restaurant in Barrie?

No plans this weekend? Head to Toronto to The Good Food & Drink Festival  at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place. The festival runs from April 5th to 7th. Visit www.goodfoodanddrinkfestival.com . Eat Street host James Cunningham will be there Sunday as well as Chef Anna Olson on Saturday. The cities best food trucks will be at the festival to serve samples of their menus, menu sampling tickets can be purchased at the festival for $1.00.

Head out for lunch this weekend at Pie. Featured on ‘You Gotta Eat Here’ Pie Woodfired Pizza Joint has a second location in Downtown Barrie on the waterfront! Pie’s address is Victoria Square, 11 Victoria St (Victoria St. & Lakeshore Dr.).
